Our Backyard
Quail Nest
A Gambel's quail made her nest right here in the Sonoran Desert. We set up a live camera so you can watch — eggs and all.
About This Camera
Axis Network Camera
The same professional camera technology we install for our clients — now watching over something a little more personal.
A Little Nest, A Big Moment
Every spring, Gambel's quail scatter across the Sonoran Desert looking for safe places to nest. This year, one found our backyard — and we weren't about to miss it.
We set up one of our Axis network cameras to watch over her. The same technology we install for our clients is now keeping an eye on something a little more personal — seven eggs tucked into a quiet corner, waiting to hatch.
Gambel's quail eggs typically hatch in 21 to 23 days. Once they do, the chicks are up and running within hours. Keep checking back — the best part is still ahead.
